Academic Work

Amy Abdou is a senior lecturer at Wittenborg University of Applied Sciences and IES Study Abroad. She is also a PhD candidate in the department of Science Business Innovation at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. Amy’s research focuses the impact of subsidized social entrepreneurship on migrant communities in Amsterdam Zuidoost. She has been invited to speak on topics related to social entrepreneurship and leadership.

Amy Abdou is an accomplished singer songwriter who has recorded three albums, collaborated with numerous artists and has been active in promoting underground art and independent music. She co-produced the first compilation of female artists from the Hudson Valley and founded Grrr Records, an independent record company dedicated to raising the profile of women in the music industry.
